It operates by diffusing compressed air through a perforated elastic membrane, producing uniformly distributed fine bubbles that promote optimal contact between air and mixed liquor.

Air enters the diffuser body and is evenly released through precision-engineered slits in the membrane surface. When air is not supplied, the slits remain closed, preventing backflow and clogging. This self-sealing function ensures clean operation during intermittent aeration phases.
